Plan an outing for this Saturday (3/13). For the first time, Clipper Vacations brings to you Gray Whale Watching from downtown Seattle with a stop at historic Coupeville on Whidbey Island. You will have an hour and a half to visit the seaport town. Stop into one of its many excellent restaurants for lunch or swing by its locally famous ice cream parlor for a sweet treat. Other features of Coupeville not to be missed are a saloon and the historic red wharf building containing the skeletons of a gray whale, a porpoise and a sea lion.

This Friday (3/12) from 3-5pm at the Freeland Library, you can design your own bowling shirt & practice your game for Saturday's Wii Bowling Tournament. The tournament will be from 1-5pm on Saturday at the Freeland Library and there will be snacks & prizes, including one for the best bowling outfit!
Take a few minutes from enjoying the Mussel Festival in Coupeville and travel up to Oak Harbor to Whidbey Beer Works at 710 SE Fidalgo Ave. between 11 and 4 for the tasting of Belgian beers. This Saturday, from 10 am to 5pm, tour various art studios on Whidbey Island. Whidbey is home to a wide variety of artists and artisans from potters, painters, glass blowers, weavers, jewelry makers, sculptors and more. Each spring the thriving arts community on Whidbey opens its studios to share their art, their way of life and their island's beauty with the greater Puget Sound Community. This is the 24th year celebrating our Whidbey Island spring with the Penn Cove Mussel Festival. Held on March 6 (10:30 -9) and 7 (10:30-5) in Coupeville, it will be headquartered at the Recreation Hall. Tickets for all festival activities must be purchased there. The Mussel, Beer and Wine Garden will only be going on Saturday, March 6th. Mussels and beverages will be served starting at 11:30 am and go until 5:00 pm.
